The Thanthayar Foundation proudly joined Maejo Pride 2025, June 29, 2025 reaffirming its dedication to equality, diversity, and justice by not only marching in solidarity but also bringing cultural and culinary delights to the celebration.
This year’s Maejo Pride, held at Maejo University under the theme “Peace and Justice through Pride”, drew thousands of participants from across Thailand and abroad. The event highlighted the importance of inclusion and unity in building a more just society.
As an official partner of the event, the Thanthayar Foundation made a memorable contribution to the festivities by hosting a vibrant booth featuring traditional Thai food and organizing captivating Thai dance performances. These activities aimed to honor Thai cultural heritage while celebrating diversity and belonging.
“Being part of Maejo Pride is not just about standing up for justice, but also about celebrating the richness of our identities cultural and personal,” said a representative from the Foundation.
“We are proud to share Thai food and dance with the community, and to stand alongside everyone here in solidarity.”
Thanthayar’s booth served delicious traditional Thai dishes to participants throughout the day, offering nourishment and a warm welcome to all. Later in the afternoon, a troupe sponsored by the Foundation took to the stage to perform traditional Thai dances, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
In addition to their cultural contributions, representatives from Thanthayar Foundation joined the parade and provided educational materials about gender diversity, human rights, and mental health, reflecting their commitment to advocacy and awareness-raising.
Attendees praised the joyful and inclusive atmosphere of the event, as well as the meaningful contributions from organizations like the Thanthayar Foundation. The food and performances added color and flavor to the Pride celebration while reinforcing the message that justice and peace must include everyone.
Maejo Pride has grown into one of northern Thailand’s most important Pride events a blend of celebration and activism. This year, the Thanthayar Foundation’s presence stood out as an inspiring example of how culture, care, and solidarity can come together to create a more just and joyful society.
